Glass Jaw in Use 1 by Gradendine Glass Jaw in Use 1 by Gradendine
My chippy, Sally, and her favorite plushie.

The plexiglass mandible is in.

I was soooo nervous about this.

The camera doesn't show it well, but her jaw has changed drastically. Much more feminine.

I'm very proud of how this came out.

You can't just use human remains to fulfill your sexual fantasies, guy! You disgust me.

ever heard of "the uncanny valley"?

Yes, I have. I've put a bit of research into it.

The Uncanny Valley is an instinctive response to things that reach the "top" of non-human spectrum, and the "bottom" of the human spectrum. In theory this is to avoid disease and deformation.
heavily-biologically-damaged humans are "likely" to carry disease or have undesirable genetics.
Near-human organisms would be likely to carry near-human diseases that could quickly mutate to affect humans.

"Uncanny Valley" also varies depending on the viewer.
If one has a stronger "familiarity" with demi-humans then ones Uncanny Valley threshold, in theory, could lower a bit in regard to the appropriate demi-humans.

This is just my take. Keep in mind that I just woke up, and I'm still groggy.

By the way, nice work on your gallery submissions.

This world could use more deep-thinkers.

Thanks?

I have to admit, as creepy as I find this doll, I gotta admire all the detail you're putting into it.

You're welcome.
The Lorax was one of my favorite books as a kid. Still is.

And thank you. I've been working to get her out of uncanny valley.

(She is a LOT less creepy than she used to be. You should see her first pic on DA, they almost scare me now.)
